Donatina Neapolitan Pizza Café was started by John Peragine, who is a Chef By trade working in NYC in restaurants like the Rainbow Room, Coco Pazzo Teatro, Le Madri, Tuscan Square, Sapore Di Mare, Agata & Valentina, Steak Frites & City Lobster. In 2006 he returned back to his home town of Patchogue, Long Island where he and a close friend opened up Perabell Food Bar Patchogue, After a couple of years they opened up a second location in Riverhead NY. That’s where John decided to start doing authentic Neapolitan Pizza. John traveled to Naples where he purchase a Stephano Ferrara Wood Burning Neapolitan Pizza Oven, and shipped it back home to Long Island, and that’s where the hobby turned into a passion. After much success with the pizza he decided to open a free standing Pizzeria right around the corner from his original Perabell was. Donatina is named after his two kids Donato & Valentina. Donatina serves up different styles of pizza Including NY style, Grandma, Sicilian, Our own Gluten Free dough made daily for pan Pizza & Long Island’s First Detroit Style Pizza. In two shorts years Donatina has really taken off being listed as one of several top Pizzerias on Long Island in Newsday and other online forums.
