Growing up in Brooklyn, New York, Carmela Fuccio-Aksalic and her husband, Frank Aksalic, were raised in families where every meal was made with fresh, nourishing ingredients, and was always served with love. In Carmela’s family, pizza was so prominent in the Fuccio household that she would bring her mother Maria’s homemade pizza to birthday parties instead of cupcakes!
